On July 19th I had a doctors appointment, I was exactly 39 weeks. She checked me and said I was 3 cms dilated. The week before I was at a 4. She decided to schedule for an induction. We talked to the scheduling lady and made it for the next day with the doctor that delivered Colten. We were supposed to be at the hospital very early in the morning so Colten and the dogs stayed at my parents house. Wes and I went home and decided just to relax since it was the first night with out Colten ever. My back started hurting alittle so we got in the jacuzzi tub. It was nice but my back kept getting worse. We got out and laid in bed. The contractions got really bad really fast. I was debating if we should go to the hospital or not for awhile. I finally had enough and we left the house at 10:30pm. Got to the hospital and into the labor room at around 11:00pm. I was check and she said I was at 5cm. So they decided to admit me. The contractions were so painful at that point and them taking my blood and getting an IV in me made it a million times worse. Chase's heart rate kept dropping and they kept making me move side to side. She checked me again and I was a 9. By then I felt like I needed to push. The nurses told me not to push but I couldn't stop. I did a couple pushes and my water broke. That's when they brought in the nurses that tend to the baby and the head nurse. The doctor wasn't there yet, they told me he was coming from Smithville and just wait a few minutes. I couldn't I pushed alittle more and felt him come out some. I yelled he is coming, he is coming. At first they didn't believe me but then someone opened my legs and yep he was coming. Chase Bradley was born at 12:16am on July 20,2010. He was in a big hurry!! The doctor finally showed up what seemed like 30 minutes later. He delivered the placenta and left. Must be nice to get paid as much he did for really doing nothing! Chase was 7 pounds 8 oz. and 21 inches long. He came out hungry and dada got to give him his first bottle and he drank alot!! My dad and Wes's dad and sister came to the hospital that night. It was so painful but it was so nice to feel when to push, be able to feel my legs, and feel just fine as soon as he came out. I was ready to go home in the morning but had to wait until July 21st. Colten came to the hospital with my mom and grandma. He loved his brother the moment he saw him!! I can' believe that I was able to deliver him with no drugs and no doctor. I also can't believe that we were only at the hospital for an hour and 15 minutes before he was born.
